Chiweenies are sun-loving dogs.
Since we are part Chihuahua, we need LOTS of sun. We cannot live without sun. We are like those plants that are labeled "FULL SUN - must have 6+ hours of full sun a day".
Living in the city, we hardly got to lie in the sun. Our house had no yard. The sun coming in the windows created one tiny sunny spot that moved across the living room and lasted only a few hours. All of us had share it. Sometimes it was more like "fight for it".
Now that we live in the country at Chiweenie Acres, we have a whole big back yard full of sun. We spend hours out there, soaking up the soothing warmth.
Then we stagger back inside, our solar batteries recharged, to lie on the cool tiles in the dining room, looking like melted crayons.
Here at Chiweenie Acres, it is possible to get enough of a good thing!
